One student reads a word while two other students race to try to smack the bug with the corresponding word. Could do with math problems as well. IN my version:I made it as a poster covering the bugs with scotch tap so I can write the vocabulary with a board marker and change it. I show the picture with the vocabulary to the class and in turns of two students they have to slap the bug! they really had fun!
Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends http://www.wordle.net/
great idea, (not mine)
We start every lesson (1st year, secondary school) with this. while I copy the date, complete the attendance sheet, etc, one student writes the number and they do it.
